[ why was the site made? ]
long story short, i saw a tumblr post that encouraged making your own site to have a space outside of social media back in 2022. i thought it was cool and a great idea, so i made a neocities. basically did not touch the site for a long time. cut to 2024, i somehow stumble across nekoweb and decide to migrate to it, which then was the push for me to actually start working on my site. now i'm here with a website that i really like.

[ questions & answers ]
what was the tumblr post?
i tried looking for it in my tumblr archive. i believe it was this post that made me realize neocities was a whole thing. i reblogged that post march 22, 2022, but i guess it wasn't until this post that i actually made a neocities account considering i had reblogged it the day before (april 11, 2022; my neocities was first made april 12, 2022).
how did you do the terminal console?
i coded it myself! it's just using event listeners to listen for alphanumerical keys being pressed and, when shift+enter is pressed, the string inside the paragraph is parsed and then cleared.
why are the site fonts all mono?
programmer brain. i actually think programming is what has made me lean towards monospaced fonts.
what did you make the site with?
all coded by my own hands and my mildly rusted brain! the website was originally made using nekoweb's editor, but now i use notepad++ to edit my site (usually for big/site-altering updates). however, i'm thinking of learning emacs to edit websites soon...
